20年前给我姐姐的回信 —— 是否考研？
近期整理邮箱，看到一些 20 年前，我答复我姐姐是否考研的书信。而且特别应要，用双语回应。因此，原文刊出，除了替代名字外，保留100%的原文，包括错别字，英文错误语法。20 年过去了，时代背景发生了巨大的变化，但，有些观点却是依旧适用的。
The following what I want say is important, so I continue with chinese. because I want you distinctly what I mean. for studing, I will add English word following the chinese text.
下面的文字我将用中文续写，因为我认为这是很重要的事情，所以我需要用中文以便你能够清楚地知道我的意思:) 为了学习，我会在增加一些英文的翻译。
关于考研的事情：
about be a master.
我曾经想过这么几个问题，为什么要上大学，我想出来的结果是这样的：上大学是改变自己不像父辈农民生活的最快捷的方式。上大学比起高中来一下扩大了知识面，有很多的时间来做一些自己感兴趣的事情，所以上完大学的人一般会被人认为是”有知识的人”，这样在找工作的时候，比没有上过大学的人多一些机会，当然，上大学期间最重要的是自学能力的提高。（但上大学不是通向幸福生活的唯一途径）。
I thought some questions before that Why we must go to university for studing? my answer is: Studing in university is the direct way for change life which our parent being. We know more more infomation than high school. We had lots of time for doing things we like. generally, people call us “BOOKMAN”. so that, we can get more chances that others who don’t go to university. The important things in university I think is SELF-STUDY. (but, I don’t think that studing in university is the only way to go to happiness life.)

These is I know recently but not in high school or university.
所以，当你有矛盾的时候，不妨我们来做下面的一件事情：给你自己提出一个问题，” 为什么要上研究生？”，如果你有非常明确的目的，那么请说出来，最好的方式是写出来！用最简单的语言写出来。（如果写出来了，不妨告诉我一声！）
So, when you are ambivalent, let’s doing the following thing: ask yourself a simple question “Why do want from a master’s degree?” . if you directlly know why, please speak out. please write it in a paper by the simplest words. (may be you can tell me your answer.)
对于考研的这个问题的我的其他想法，首先，我现在非常的热爱学习，这种热爱比高中或者大学的时候都更强烈，初中的学习是为了考高中，高中的学习的是为了考大学，上大学学习的目的是为了找一份工作。而我现在不是这样想的，我现在阅读很多很多的书籍，有历史的，有政治的，有宗教的，有天文的，有物理的，还有地理的哦。这些对于我的工作来说帮助并不大，但是对于我个人的修养却很有提高。我看了《万物简史》之后，我就了解了大自然的大多数原则。我看了《圣经》之后，我就了解为什么新教比天主教更吸引教徒。以前，我学习是为了一个外界的目的，而我现在学习，是发自内心的学习。没有人强迫我去看《圣经》，也没有人告诉我看了《圣经》之后，可以找到更好的工作。所以我现在的学习，目的很简单，就是提高我自己的修养。我觉得我以后肯定会很富有，但这种富有是物质上的，我想在此之前先富有我的精神。
my other opinions about this question. The first, I love reading now. the emotion of reading is more clearly than any time. the study in junior high for I can studing in senior high school, the study in senior high school for I can studing in university. the study in university for a good job after graduate university. But I don’t think like old way. I was reading so many books like history, polity, religion, astronomy, physics, and geography. These books have little help with my work. but they are important for my personally culture. I know the nature laws after I finished read
有了如此简单的想法和目的，我可以在任何的时候看书，从毕业到现在，我看过的书很多很多的，我从来没有过一天到晚整天去看一本书的，我所看完的这些书的大部分内容是我在坐车的途中看完的。因为我想看，所以我可以在任何的时候看书，所以我的书包里面永远都会有一本书。
For this simple purpose, I can reading at anytime. between graduated and now, I have read a lot of books. I never using all day for reading a book. the most content of books was read in the bus. I can read at anytime anywhere because I want. so, you will found there is alway a book in my bag.
上面说的是我个人的事情，供你参考。而我想从这件事情里面所说明的事情是：如果学习是发自你内心的，那么在什么地方学习就不再是重要的了。如果你认为你的学习需要外界的动力，那么我觉得这个学习就值得思考了。因为外界的压力是不可靠的，而发自内心的愿望却是可以转化为毅力，有了毅力，你就可以克服一切困难了。
The above text is about my personal opinion. That I want tell you is: If you really want study, where you study is unimportance. if you need pushed. then I think you need think over “your study”. because the pressure of outside is uncertainty. but the reflection of you inner would make you stronger for take over all difficulty.
当然，去学校专门的读书也有很多的好处，比如更加全心全意地去学习或者研究。学习的内容可能很有系统性。然后可以获得学历证明，证明你有研究生的学历。可以给你增加找工作时的机会。就像什么事情都不是绝对的一样，你自己的思考将决定一起。
Certainly, there are many benefits studing in a school. for example. you can study with all your’s heart. the study became more systematic. And you would get a degree of the master. you can get more chance if you have a degree. anything isn’t absolutely. your attitude is all.
如果可以的话，你可以和姐夫商量一下，看看他的想法是什么呢？男人和女人的想法是会有很多不同的。如果可以的话，让他给我写信。
I would suggest have a talk with your husband. take a view of Bro in law. there are many different between male and female. I will glad to receive the opinion of him.
